756Lux – from shadowhunter and lightcollector – an exhibition about light and its impact on the environment and human psyche. We - meaning five students with the background of new media-, graphic-, and productdesign did the project during a Mastersemester in February 2010 in Leipzig. In an abundant industrial building we have shown various media based interactive projects, which has dealt with the way how we engage with light in our environment. The visitor got involved via interactive installations in the show and gained in a playful way knowledge about the topic light. The advertising, media projects and interactive games resulted from the group work. Project explanations and advertisement of the project on different media were in the hand of the communication designer. The several small movies have been produced individually. My own film has addressed the light pollution and the relationship between “light and the city”. I based my work on photographies, which focused on the sky and the way, how the contemporary light conditions transforms the perception of the sky. The film was accompanied by texts of the author Veronika Dräxler. The text explores in a poetic language the traces of light and people in urban spaces.
